PARTY ON PATRIOTS!!!
“When Atlanta’s major Tea Party scheduled for July 4 at Gwinnett Mall was cancelled by Gwinnett Place Mall of Simon Company, organizers of various freedom groups rallied to sponsor a Tea Party event at the State Capitol in Atlanta.
The Atlanta Freedom Rally & Tea Party will be held on Saturday, July 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Georgia State Capitol at 206 Washington Street SW.”
Update: Helen goes after Team TOTUS Round Deux…Chip Reid and Helen Thomas take Robert Gibbs to task…
Update: Allah at HA has Helen going off in even more detail on TOTUS media tactics:
…“Nixon didn’t try to do that,” Thomas said. “They couldn’t control (the media). They didn’t try.
“What the hell do they think we are, puppets?” Thomas said. “They’re supposed to stay out of our business. They are our public servants. We pay them.”..
…“I’m not saying there has never been managed news before, but this is carried to fare-thee-well–for the town halls, for the press conferences,” she said. “It’s blatant. They don’t give a damn if you know it or not. They ought to be hanging their heads in shame.”…
The WH Press Corps slowly awakens from its koolaid induced stupor……

“CBS’ Chip Reid and Helen Thomas double teamed Robert Gibbs today at the daily press briefing on the “tightly controlled” town hall meeting President Obama will hold on health care. Gibbs kept saying lets have this discussion AFTER the meeting. Helen Thomas accused the White House of “controlling the press.” She said almost all White House/Obama events are “prepackaged.” She accused the White House of not “having any answers.”
First we were bitterly clinging to our guns and religion, now TOTUS has found something else he thinks we need to let go of:
WASHINGTON (AP) – Obama says country must ‘stop clinging to’ an unworkable and costly health care system.

Poll after the break:
Finally, courtesy of Gawker, the audio :0)
…The tape dates to last summer, when Susan Krakower, a CNBC executive and co-creator with Ratigan of Fast Money, dared to speak into his earpiece during a commercial break in the newscast. Ratigan didn’t like that…The New York Post reported on the exchange back in March, and indicated that Ratigan’s issues with Krakower were partially responsible for his decision to jump to MSNBC—after promising himself to ABC News as a negotiating tactic to get more money—in May.
Sounds like a fun guy to work with….
And a poll! As soon as I figure out how to put it in here, lol…Dylan’s new show started on MSNBC this week, it is up against The Call one of the only 2 CNBC shows I still watch (the other being kudlow)..
Here’s your question, has anyone seen it? No clips have appeared on Youtube yet…..
And just for fun, Dennis Kneale fighting with bloggers yesterday, lol, again Gawker has it:
Market Mover Wednesday: ADP jobs report, ISM manufacturing rises slightly-still a contraction at under 50…
ADP numbers out today, I don’t place much store in them. TOMORROW will be the BIG number., June job losses from the government
Private-sector jobs in the U.S. fell 473,000 in June, according to a national employment report published Wednesday by payroll giant Automatic Data Processing Inc. and consultancy Macroeconomic Advisers.
The expected loss exceeds the 400,000 drop forecast by economists in a Dow Jones Newswires survey and suggests that layoffs may be worsening.
Separately, the Institute for Supply Management’s manufacturing index rose a bit to 44.8 in June from 42.8 in May. The number indicates the sector is contracting at a slower pace. Meanwhile, spending on U.S. construction projects resumed falling in May, sent down by the soft housing market and a government sector scrambling for revenue in the recession. However, a measure of pending home sales rose in May.
The ADP survey tallies only private-sector jobs, while the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ nonfarm payroll data, to be released Thursday, include government workers. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires expect that the BLS will report June job cuts totaling 350,000, on top of a 345,000 loss in May. The May unemployment rate is projected to rise to 9.6% from 9.4% in May.
Kewl! Leoben is also the heartless killer John Wakefield on Harper’s Island…h/t SciFiWire
Battlestar Galactica alumnus Callum Keith Rennie (“Leoben”) has been added to the cast of Fox’s 24, joining fellow Battlestar alum Katee Sackhoff, Sackhoff reported on her Facebook page. “How cool is that? I have missed my Battlestar castmates. We all should just be on 24! : )”

First they came for our Cheerios….FDA Panel votes to ban Vicodin, Percoset, reduce Tylenol strength…
First they went after CHEERIOS. Now the geniuses at the FDA, under the new ‘do something just because you can’ Team TOTUS mode of operations had a panel (whose recommendations wind up getting approved by FDA 99.999% of the time) yesterday that determined Americans are just too stoopid to be given extra strength Tylenol without a prescription.
That’s right no more 1000 mg of Tylenol a day for you Granny! And no Nyquil without a big black box warning either.
Better yet, they have decided to OUTLAW Vicodin and Percoset. Yes two of the most used painkillers in the USA. I am pretty sure Vicodin is given without prescription in Canada aint it? Anyway forget about me going back to the dentist ANYtime soon if this happens, I’m a scared of the dentist!
Since 100 Americans apparently can not count and had liver damage and death from taking too much acetaminophen we can all go without painkillers now.
Welcome to the Age of Obama. Feel the burn.
Government experts in the United States say prescription drugs like Vicodin and Percocet that combine a popular painkiller with stronger narcotics should be eliminated because of their role in deadly overdoses.A U.S. Food and Drug Administration panel on Tuesday voted 20-17 that prescription drugs that combine acetaminophen with other painkilling ingredients should be pulled off the market.
