Hillary’s poll numbers up: Rise, Hillary, Rise

Yay

Politico:

A new poll of avid news watchers shows that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a much higher approval rating than the man she once campaigned against and now works for, President Barack Obama.

In the poll of 800 registered voters who are self-identified “news watchers,” Clinton had a 75 percent approval rating and a 21 percent disapproval rating overall. Obama, in contrast, had a 51 percent approval and a 45 percent disapproval rating….

Clarus president Ron Faucheux said one reason for Clinton’s high poll numbers is her high approval among Republicans – numbers he said position her well to run for president again in the future, if she chooses.

Clinton had 96 percent approval among Democrats, a healthy 57 percent approval among Republicans, and 65 percent approval among Independents. Obama was nearly as popular among Democrats – 93 percent – but his numbers among Republicans and Independents fell off dramatically, at 19 percent and 33 percent respectively.

…“Republicans may see her as being more hawkish than other Democrats on foreign policy issues,” said Faucheux. “It may be a way for them to bolster that position within the administration.” Asked about any future Clinton presidential bid, he said, “She’s in good shape now.”….

Dear Fellow Tea Party Patriots,

We are at a critical point in our fight against government run healthcare.

We need to have the same urgency and intensity level that we displayed at the Congressional Town Hall Meetings during the August recess. We must not diminish our fight to defeat the Senate healthcare bill. Many “Blue Dog” Democrats and some GOP Senators have stated that they don’t see the same intensity level opposing the Senate Healthcare bill that we displayed opposing the House version. They are beginning to believe that we do not strongly oppose the Senate Healthcare bill.  We need to let them know that is not true.

President Obama and the Senate Democratic leadership are pulling out all the stops to pass this Senate Healthcare bill. They are putting enormous pressure on the “Blue Dog” Democrat Senators to pass the bill.

We urgently need you to make phones today and tomorrow  to the Senators listed below. Please call their District Office and their D.C. office. Also, please continue to contact your Senator. Forward this to your email lists and ask them to make phone calls.

The latest Rasmussen Poll showed that 60% oppose this healthcare bill.

We need you to make phones calls to the Senators listed below.

Targeted Senators

Jane Hamsher of FDL agrees with Michelle Bachmann: Kill the health care bill

Update: More consensus, FDL commenter acknowledges we dreaded Tea People were correct:

This bill is worse than the status quo; it is an abomination. (Again I cannot easily express my disgust that the teabagger crackpots who called it an “Obamanation” apparently knew something that we did not.) $1000000000s to insurance companies courtesy of this smooth talking empty suited liar from Chicago.

KILL THIS TRAVEST OF A PAYOUT TO INSURANCE COMPANIES ***NOW***

Obama has finally achieved the Post Partisan Unity Schtick: Jane Hamsher FDL Progressives, Howard Dean, Michelle Bachmann R-MN, Laura Ingraham are all united in their desire to KILL THE BILL.

Sadly Obama will take the ‘no one is happy, everyone is pixxed’ as a good sign. He calls it being pragmatic. I call it having NO BALLS.

Some Dems and ‘progressives’ are still debating whether to ‘fight the bill’. They are fish food. The entire point of this exercise was to TRIANGULATE the progressives and the moderates, and in the end give exactly what they always intended to, a BS bill that is a gift to insurers and a world of hurt to consumers and the dream of UHC.

The playing out the poor progressives who still ‘wait’ to decide is classic THE LONG CON. By the time these guys ‘decide’ the ink will be dry on Obama’s commemorative signature.

Obama is a man of NO CONVICTIONS. The Obots who called HRC Lady Macbeth need to acknowledge that Lady Macbeth had a frakking plan and a list and she did what she set out to do, she didn’t cave to Macduff at the first sign of pushback now did she? I WANT A POTUS WITH COJONES!

Has it ocurred to the genius progressives that Obama doesn’t care if he loses seats in the House? It will make it easier to TRIANGULATE.

Obama Quits, cedes Presidency to Joe Lieberman

Of course, Joe did what the WH told him to do but still funny.

WH and Big Pharma win, consumers lose: RX Reimportation Amendment voted down in Senate by ‘progressive’ Democrats Durbin, Schumer, Kerry, Reid, Burris, Rockefeller…

The SINGLE cost saving item for Americans in this horror show of a health care bill was just killed by the progressive Democratic Senators. Remember come 2010/2012, these Democrats and this WH ARE THE STATUS QUO. No change here. DOZENS of REPUBLICANS votes AYE! Nice commercials for the elections.  For those keeping score:

HOUSING:  Banks batting a thousand, homeowners a big zero (78B allocated from TARP, 3 million defaults (now 4.8 million), but only 31,000 mods).

HEALTH CARE: Insurers/big Pharma happy as pigs in shxt, American consumers facing higher costs, mandates and no ‘choice and competition’ plus the kick to the deficit.

SMALL BUSINESS LENDING: Again banks laugh at POTUS, Gasparino in the NYPost today reported that Obama schmoozed the bankers when the cameras left. No loans being made, bonuses back on track for the big banks.

EMPLOYMENT: Need we go there? Ginormous stimulus payoff to who? No one knows but it sure as shxt didnt create a million jobs, or even a verifiable half a million jobs.

FDL:

…Bunches of Democrats have decided to vote against this in the past few roll calls, this is going to be extremely close.

Senators are huddled around the desk tabulating the votes, this is one of those where the outcome is not pre-determined. Dick Durbin has a panicked look on his face.

…A late move toward the no side could deny this the needed 60 votes. They just got Lieberman to vote against it, along with luminaries like Kerry, Schumer, Reid, Durbin, Burris and Rockefeller.

…Lautenberg’s amendment has passed the Senate four separate times. It clearly kills re-importation because we haven’t seen any. This defeat of the Dorgan amendment is simply being done to preserve a corrupt deal.

Yeas 51, nays 48. Dorgan amendment does not pass….

UPDATE from FDL:

…Roll call on the Dorgan Amendment is here. The White House had to line up 31 no votes from the Democratic caucus to kill this….

Twofer Tuesday: SG*U renewed for 20 episode S2 & Sanctuary renewed for S3, 2.10 ‘Sleepers’ promo…

CoronaComingAttractions has details on the renewals:

Buoyed by strong Friday night ratings on Syfy, the specialty cable channel has ordered full season renewals for Stargate Universe and Sanctuary. 20 episodes have been ordered for each show, thereby granting Universe a second season and Sanctuary a third.

According to Syfy (and related by The Hollywood Reporter to us), Sanctuary averaged 2.2 million viewers for each episode of its fall half-season while SGU ticked higher with an average of 2.6 million (these numbers include online digital download viewings too.) The remaining 10 episodes for each series will begin airing next April, with the new seasons scheduled for broadcast in the fall of 2010….

Mr MiM likes SGU, but likes Sanctuary better. I like Sanctuary and find AGU ahhh boring. Here is the perspective of a non SGU fan on youtube, thisthis:
