Meredith Whitney – Housing double dip is here, Middle Class Squeeze to get worse…

This Congress is killing the middle class.

CNBC:

…Whitney also said financial regulation reform and policy-making that is not friendly to the middle class will hurt growth.

“The populist incumbents argue that we’ve got to get money to redistribute wealth,” she said. “This squeezes the middle class further down the food chain. The unintended consequences of this are maddening.”..

Meanwhile back in DC our HUD secretary is either deluded or spinning like a top:

…”There is no question that today’s housing market is in significantly better shape than anyone predicted 18 months ago,” he told reporters, adding, “Seventeen months after President Obama took office our housing market is stabilizing.”

To support the claim, the HUD chief released a scorecard on the housing market that showed after 30 straight months of decline, home prices have leveled off and are expected to begin adjusting upward.

It also showed that since April 2009, 2.8 million homeowners have received restructured mortgages through Obama’s loan modification programs, and more than 2.5 million families used the First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit to purchase a home. The credit was a part of the first stimulus bill Obama signed into law shortly after taking office….

BWAAAAHAA!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!! HAMP and the Tax Credit worked he says!! BWAAAAHAAFRAKKINHAAAA!~!!! ZOMG! Ahh man they really slay me.

True Blood 3.2 ‘Beautifully Broken’ Inside the Episode

Last night’s episode was way better than the season premiere IMO. Loved the way Anna did Bill saying ‘Sookie’, lol.

Uber-Snob Sally Quinn suggests using Hillary to save Obama in ’12 – heaven forefend!

Sally, Sally, Sally. As a Tea Party Patriot, recovering Democrat and Hillraiser let me enlighten you. We will never, ever, ever support Hillary lowering herself to run as VEEP with Obama in ’12.

And to think this comes from Sally Quinn, a woman who spent soo many years bashing Hill and Bill. Talk about the ‘audacity’ of a dope. From the outset of the Clinton Administration, Quinn felt Hillary’s lack of cocktail parties at the WH set her off as a Hillbilly. The Obama Versailles-like weekly events were ever so much more Sally’s style (nevermind how inappropriate they were in this economy).

But look, Obama is tanking in the polls! He is clearly over his head and looking ever more likely to lose in ’12.

True Blood – Snoop Dogg – ‘Oh Sookie’

AccessHollywood:

He may not be a vampire, but hip-hop’s top Dogg has a thing for “True Blood’s” Sookie Stackhouse.

Snoop Dogg has recorded an ode to the mind-reading HBO character, played by Anna Paquin, complete with an accompanying music video.

“Oh Sookie, let me get in your head,” he raps in the song’s chorus.

The track finds the MC dropping rhymes about taking Sookie from Bon Temps to LA and ordering her a gin and juice – his signature beverage since 1994’s single of the same name – at “True Blood” watering hole Merlotte’s, as well as a verse about smoking “true bud…

‘Sons of Anarchy’ creator fires back: “HAVING THE FUCKING IDEA IS NOT THE SHOW”

You tell ‘em Kurt!!! We love the show!

THR Live Feed:

“Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter fired both barrels at the ex-biker who’s claiming in a $5 million lawsuit that the FX hit was his idea. Posting on his blog, Sutter wrote:

So here’s my bi-monthly reminder to every delusional bitch who thinks that they’ve come up with the idea for SOA —

HAVING THE FUCKING IDEA IS NOT THE SHOW.  THERE HAVE BEEN DOZENS OF OUTLAW MOTORCYCLE TV DRAMAS PITCHED IN THE LAST TEN YEARS.  NONE OF THEM HAS MADE IT TO SERIES, EXCEPT SOA.  BECAUSE THEY SUCKED.

The same way there were dozens of mob family pitches before the Sopranos and crime scene pitches before CSI.

…. I had a love of the subculture but was not an “outlaw biker”. The same way Damon Lindelof was never marooned on a supernatural island. I did what a good writers does. Research.

It’s rare that somebody connected to a network (esp. News Corp.-owned) open fires like this in response to a lawsuit…
