Gina Holden makes a guest star appearance in LOTS S2
Joining the recent addition list for ABC’s Legend of the Seeker (that a couple weeks ago added BSC-favorite Charisma Carpenter) is BSC-approved Gina Holden.
Holden will appear a single episode, and you may have seen her in CBS’s recent Harper’s Island (check out our coverage) and the recent attempt at a Flash Gordon show. Being half-Japanese, Holden’s face is familiar and (was) kind of everywhere. She was also the in-show daughter (Patricia Swann) of Christopher Reeve (RIP) in Smallville.

Even while many Filipinos are already counting down the days to the premiere of US hit TV ‘fantaseries’ “Legend of the Seeker” on SCI FI channel on Sept. 9, 10 p.m., Manila Bulletin Online whets their appetite further by giving 10 facts about the show:
…(1) The executive producer of the show is Sam Raimi of “Spider-Man” movie trilogy-fame. According to Wikipedia, he became interested in doing the series after his partner Joshua Donen encouraged him to read the book on which the show is based, “The Sword of Truth.”
…8) The second season of “Legend of the Seeker” has begun filming in July 2009. That one will be based on the book “Stone of Tears,” the 2nd installment in the “Wizard’s First Rule” series by author Terry Goodkind. It will have 22 episodes.
(9) The series was first envisaged as a movie until Raimi realized weekly television program would allow them to include most of the stories and important aspects of the series.
(10) Although there have been lots of offers, Goodkind had resisted selling the rights of his books prior to meeting Raimi….
Legend of the Seeker Season 1 drops to DVD October 13th…
Yay. 5 Disc season one set…But where’s the blue ray!
On October 13th Buena Vista will release the syndicated fantasy/action series Legend of the Seeker: The Complete First Season to DVD.
The television series, based on the “Sword of Truth” books by author Terry Goodkind is the newest creation from Sam Raimi (Spider-Man and Evil Dead trilogies) and his producing partner (and Lucy Lawless’ husband) Robert Tapert.
Legend of the Seeker is shot almost entirely in the picturesque New Zealand which begs the question – Where are the Blu-ray editions?
A show that offers such stunning scenery surely deserves a Blu-ray, but the DVD’s will have to do for now….
