SciFi: ‘Alien Trespass’ Premieres Tonight….

We LOVE B movies at MiM, love love love them…this is a limited release, look for a theatre near you here

Set in 1957, ALIEN TRESPASS chronicles a fiery object from space that crashes into a mountaintop in the California desert, bringing the threat of disaster to Earth. Out of the flying saucer escapes a murderous creature – the Ghota, which is bent on destroying all life forms on the planet. A benevolent alien from the spaceship, Urp, inhabits the body of Ted Lewis – a local astronomer – and with the help of Tammy, a waitress from the local diner, sets out to save mankind.

Below you will find links to other official Alien Trespass websites:

****The invasion begins April 3rd****

Although the movie Alien Trespass is a very funny movie, the director and cast insisted that the 1950s throwback to B sci-fi movies be played seriously by the actors.

“I had them immerse themselves in the movies of the ’50s and see some really great actors, like Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal in the original Day the Earth Stood Still, play these parts very seriously,” said director R.W. Goodwin, who worked on the X-Files TV series…

...The movie isn’t a parody of the old B movies, but more of a re-creation of the style, Goodwin said. Rather than depend on too many special effects, the crew uses as many real costumes and props as possible, not to mention such old-fashioned filmmaking techniques as rear projection as the actors walk and drive.

“There is one scene where the treadmill stops and carries me another two feet, and the background is moving, and I crack up every time I see it,” McCormack said. “It’s a little thing that you can hardly notice, and it wasn’t that it was done badly on purpose, or that it was done for laughs, but because it was accurate to the era.”..

SciFiWire Review:

Call me Pollyannaish, but I really believe that this is a perfect movie for the times. It’s scary, funny, tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic and a definite throwback to the 1950s era when things seemed simpler.

Alien Trespass is unfortunately going to be billed as a spoof of those famous B movies like The Blob, It Came from Outer Space, Tarantula or Them! It’s not a spoof! It’s an exact homage of the movies of that time period, never played for laughs, never going for the obvious joke, and yet it’s hysterical!

It’s made for the whole family, yet everyone will enjoy it (and that’s not an easy task!) We’re planning on going to see it again (the whole family, kids and grandma) on a Saturday afternoon and smuggle in our own candy and just have fun with it. It’s in limited release, so if you’re going to see it on the big screen, get to it soon—or you’re just going to have to wait until it’s on Saturday afternoon on TV.

TSCC: 2.21 ‘Adam Raised a Cain’ Preview #3 – Spoilers….

Oh this is too good, we need a Season Three!!

Courtesy of terminatorwikifox

Here is a great suggestion from the FOX threads TSCC user kingsteve:

Warner Bros:

Write to them; tell them you love the show. Tell them WHY you love the show. (don’t mention what you didn’t like or saw as a problem – we can bitch amongst ourselves for that) Tell them why you think the show should stay on for a third season at least. Talk about not only how great the show is now, but how much potential the show has for future seasons.

Include some basic demographic information; age, sex, country. Perhaps occupation. I heard somewhere that there’s no Nielsen boxes in college dorms or military bases; both potentially HUGE chunks of the 18-49 demographic FOX desires for the show.

Be formal in the letter. Write it in a respectful, formal manner, as you would do if applying for a job. Check spelling and grammar. While it will be great if FOX does get thousands of emails, which they would at least NOTICE, having correct spelling and grammar, etc, will make them be taken more seriously.

As soon as I’ve managed to finish this damn petition, I’ll post the link for it and get as many people as possible to sign it. I’m about as Tech savvy as Sarah or Derek, so it might be a while longer.
