This same hypocrisy is visible in the way Hollywood lives while they lecture the flyover country, the way our Politicans are driven around in bullet proof Escalades and jet off where ever they can raise a crowd and collect some cash while advising us to drive compacts that actually well, COMPACT in an accident…frakkers..

Notice the SNOBS at the Hollywood Reporter say the Cannes audience had to ‘endure’ Sam’s film, hey DLTDHYWTLSY baby…there are PLENTY of actual FANS to make this film a success on its merits not some faux aristocratic honorific as far removed from the actual audiences as could be…..I hope Sam gets to Swagga down that gore splattered carpet in Cannes with a grin baby..ohh Bruce would ham it up, maybe we can convince Sam to bring him!

FED: Supervisors now having discussions with several banks to repay TARP
Supervisors are requesting supplemental information for TARP repayment (WTH do they need after stress tests!)
No TARP repayment announcements expected until after June 8th
Supervisor will make recommendations on TARP repayment to the Treasury in batches (so no bank stands alone)
TARP repayment recommendations will be made to Treasury on monthly basis

Treasury plans to spread out auction of warrants over several months
TEH ROOLZ TO REPAY TARP:
1. After repayment, still have to be able to pass stress test
2. Issue unguaranteed debt (no FDIC backup for you!)
3. Demonstrate ability to self-fund in the market (raising private capital)
4. Approval of supervisor

Market Mover Tuesday: About that Housing Bottom…Housing Starts Drop….
I mean it is good that we arent building more houses cuz frankly we have an 18 month supply right now even without the shadow inventory of imminent foreclosures and then add the many who want to move and cannot b/c they cannot sell their house in this market..we do not need more houses..but the markets want it to be over soo badly and want construction jobs soo badly that they fooled themselves into thinking we were already at the bottom and April starts would be up…the homebuilders stocks were crazy high yesterday, that faux rally is over….
..New U.S. housing starts and permits unexpectedly fell to record lows in April, a government report showed on Tuesday, denting hopes that stability in the housing market was imminent.
The Commerce Department said housing starts fell 12.8 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 458,000 units, the lowest on records dating back to January 1959, from March’s upwardly revised 525,000 units.
Compared to the same period last year, housing starts tumbled 54.2 percent.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected an annual rate of 520,000 units for April…
