BSG: 4 Seasons in 4 minutes; Katee Sackhoff joins 24; Schmoes Know: Interviews Katee Sackhoff Part 1 and Eddie Olmos ‘blown away’ by ‘The Plan’…

BSG Total Recap created by freelancerxo02

CoronaComingAttractions has the scoop on Katee joining 24 next season, well ALLRIGHT!!! I can’t wait to see Katee in the bloopers :0)

Katee Sackhoff has landed her first ongoing role since reaching the end of Battlestar Galactica. The blonde-haired actress who played Starbuck throughout all four seasons of BSG has been cast as CTU staff member Dana Walsh in the upcoming eighth season of Fox’s 24.

Described by THR as “a smart and competent expert data analyst” at the counter-terrorism unit department of the government, her character has a hidden romantic connection with another new face, CTU agent Davis Cole (to be played by Freddie Prinze Jr.)

CCA on The Plan and how Eddie feels about it:

When Edward James Olmos recently talked about his upcoming Battlestar Galactica two-hour special movie The Plan he set the expectation bar pretty high. The man who played Admiral William Adama and who also directed the special spoke highly of the events we’ll see in the show, saying that the events that will unfold will leave the audience “gasping.”

“You see the complete opposite of the first 281 days of what we went through, … seen through the eyes of the Cylons, and it is breathtaking,” Olmost told the assembled crowd at the Los Angeles Times showbiz industry series called The Envelope (and as was reported online by Sci Fi Wire.) “It’s fantastic. It’s not fun, but I will say that you will sit there [gasping].”..

Video Updates: In a New York Minute: A ‘Coup D’Etat’ in NYS Senate: GOP takes control….

Update 2 from NYPost:

…”It’s a great day for the state of New York,” said B. Thomas Golisano, the Rochester billionaire, in a news conference with Libous, Skelos and Monserrate. Golisano, who has run unsuccessfully for governor three times, has spent millions to support candidates he feels will reform Albany to become more democratic and supportive of business.

The move was secretly in the works for more than five weeks, said a Republican with knowledge of the plan. Golisano was a major player in creating the coalition, said the Republican, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak for the GOP senators.

New York’s government is run by the near absolute control of the majority party and its top leaders. Monday’s action, if it holds, would create the first coalition in power for at least 50 years….

Courtesy of NYSSenate2009:

When Senate Democrats campaigned last fall, they promised change and reform. Unfortunately the leadership they elected broke their promises, reneged on their commitments made to 19 million New Yorkers and to every member of the Senate, and calcified Albany dysfunction instead of ending it. Today, real change and real reform begins.

A new bipartisan, coalition elected today has delivered on the promises for reform that the Senate Democrat leadership failed to keep. The new rules adopted today will create a more open, bipartisan, transparent and member-driven body that will take dramatic new steps to end Albany dysfunction.

The Dollar is rallying hard, taking my Gold down to 950, it’s a head fake I tells ya dont believe the hype, double dip recessions produce suckers rallies like nobodys business..how could we NOT have a double dip with the money printing and the interference with the markets?

Pay Czar:

The Obama administration plans to require banks and corporations that have received two rounds of federal bailouts to submit any major executive pay changes for approval by a new federal official who will monitor compensation, according to two government officials.

The proposal is part of a broad set of regulations on executive compensation expected to be announced by the administration as early as this week. Some of the rules are required by legislation enacted in the wake of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, and they would apply only to companies that received taxpayer money.Others, which are being described as broad principles, would set standards that the government would like the entire financial industry to observe as banks and other companies compensate their highest-paid executives, though it is not clear how stringent regulators will make them….

Credit Card Delinquency Rates Rise:

the delinquency rate for bank-issued credit cards rose 11 percent in the first three months of the year, according to credit reporting agency TransUnion. The delinquency rate jumped to 1.32 percent this year, from 1.19 percent in the first three months of 2008, TransUnion said. The statistic measures the percentage of card holders who are three months or more past due on their payments for cards bearing MasterCard  and Visa logos, along with American Express and Discover cards.

The average total debt on bank cards also rose, jumping to $5,776 from $5,548 last year…

Promises, Promises, inflation to create government jobs, not a good deal IMO

President Barack Obama promised Monday to deliver more than 600,000 jobs through his $787 billion stimulus plan this summer, with federal agencies pumping billions into public works projects, schools and summer youth programs.Obama is ramping up his stimulus program this week even as his advisers are ramping down expectations about when the spending plan will effect a continuing rise in the nation’s unemployment.

Many of the stimulus plans that Obama announced Monday already were in the works, including hundreds of maintenance projects at military bases, about 1,600 state road and airport improvements, and federal money states budgeted for 135,000 teachers, principals and school support staff….
