Actress Jolene Blalock
, best known for her role as the Vulcan T’Pol in “Star Trek: Enterprise,” has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming second season of the nationally syndicated series “Legend of the Seeker,” it was announced today.
Blalock, who begins filming in New Zealand this week, will portray a mysterious Sister of the Dark who possesses very powerful magic — she not only threatens Richard’s (Craig Horner) quest to defeat evil forces, but her ultimate goal is to destroy Kahlan (Bridget Regan).
The second season of the action-adventure series “Legend of the Seeker” will premiere the weekend of November 7th. Combining elements of fantasy, adventure, magic, mystery and romance with state-of-the-art visual effects and a high level of action, the series is an adaptation of internationally best-selling author Terry Goodkind’s “Sword of Truth” book series…

A bootleg gag reel from J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek movie, which is presumably on the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray, has found its way onto the Internet, and before Paramount got it pulled from YouTube, it wound up on JoBlo.com.

More proof life is not fair: FOX keeps Dollhouse, talks Season 3 and uses DVR ratings as the reason.. after cancelling TSCC which had better DVR ratings …
Update: Notice that FOX is using Summer Glau to draw viewers to Dollhouse a full 3 WEEKS BEFORE her episodes air!! (Baseball yeah but more due to bad ratings IMO)You know what would draw even more viewers? TSCC!!!! Terminator was too damned dark for that early hour. They shouldve shxt canned Dollhouse and moved TSCC back an hour.

The live ratings for Fox’s Dollhouse had leveled off as of the third episode, which aired Friday, but the good news for fans is that new numbers from DVRs show are great and because of that, Fox has decided to air all of the 13 episodes that have been ordered for this season so far.
‘Levelled off’ must mean stopped falling off a cliff .

Here’s the scoop: The audience for Joss Whedon’s show jumped more than half when factoring in the people who watched it later on DVRs, according to The Hollywood Reporter:
“We’re going to run all the episodes,” Fox scheduling chief Preston Beckman said. “We’re not saying we’re happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don’t have to overreact.”
Not OVERREACT?? You mean like when you CANCELLED TSCC which had an INTERNATIONAL FAN BASE? Like that you toolz??
Premiere-week DVR data released Monday showed that the second-season “Dollhouse” debut climbed 50% from its very modest base of a 1.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demo. Beckman said DVR results have played a role in the show’s fate, though he wasn’t surprised by the new numbers.
“It’s one of the reasons that we brought ‘Dollhouse’ back; we knew it was DVR-friendly,” Beckman said. “Hopefully we’ll see the overnight ratings increase from week to week. With some shows, you have to look at the bigger picture.”
With SOME SHOWS you look at the DVR numbers? DVR results ‘played a role’ ? Oh frak me man, these people are full of shxt! They frakkin cancelled the WRONG SHOW and REILLY is a tool and we all know it and this is to save face. WhatEVAH! But how can we be even MORE insulting to TSCC fans who mounted an EPIC campaign and had BETTER DVR numbers?
Another big surprise? They’re even contemplating a third season! Fox says it will decide whether to keep the show going after the second season ends. Of course, they still have to decide whether to order the “back nine” episodes of the current season to make up a full 22…

Bob Beckel was on FOX a bit ago claiming she can keep her seat by voting yes for cloture to end debate on the bill (when it gets to the floor) and then vote no on passage when only 51 is needed to pass. Uhm no Bob, she is facing her constituents after this vote right here. That is enough to see where she stands.

Well they are passing it. Let the truth and consequences begin. This should encourage healthy people to drop their coverage since insurers are now forced to cover them even if sick without the cushion of the universal mandate to spread the risk pool (no mandate until 2013). Totally counter-productive IMO.

The World Trade Center sailed into the city this morning.
The USS New York, which has a bow built from 7.5 tons of Twin Towers steel, stopped near Ground Zero as a detail on board fired off a 21-gun salute.

Families of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks standing on the north cove then saluted the Navy’s newest warship as it continued up the Hudson.
After the 21-gun salute, petty officers Mike Sullivan and Paul Bershers,who were on watch on the bow, started singing Billy Joel‘s “New York State of Mind.”
After the Ground Zero stop, the ship escorted by about two dozen tugboats and other vessels headed up the Hudson River toward the George Washington Bridge. After a U-turn there, it was to head south to Pier 88. An official commissioning ceremony is scheduled for Saturday.
“It’s a transformation … from something really twisted and ugly, said Rosaleen Tallon, who lost her firefighter brother, Sean, on 9/11. “I’m proud that our military is using that steel.”
Tallon said her brother, who was also was a Marine, also would have been proud…
