was that an AWESOME GAME or what>?!?!?!!!! Yay Cardinals!

Watch the first clip while you can@@!!! Courtesy of CDCProductions

Packers 45
Cardinals 51

Strangely, defense seals Cards’ OT win over Packers. It was over when …

In overtime, Cardinals CB Michael Adams sacked Aaron Rodgers, forcing a fumble that was recovered in mid-air by Arizona LB Karlos Dansby, who returned it 17 yards for the winning touchdown.

Game ball

Cardinals QB Kurt Warner gave a near-flawless performance, completing 29 of 33 passes for 379 yards and five touchdowns. It’s worth noting that Warner threw more touchdowns than incompletions (four).

Key Stat

Both offenses put up astronomical numbers. The 96 combined points scored by the Packers and Cardinals is the most in NFL postseason history, surpassing the previous mark of 95 (Eagles 58, Lions 37 in 1995). The two offenses combined for 1,024 yards (tied for third most in postseason history) and 62 first downs (Packers 32, Cardinals 30), breaking the record of 59 set in a 1981 divisional game between the Chargers and Dolphins.

Noteworthy

In his first playoff game, Rodgers was 28 of 42 for 422 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. … The Cardinals scored 20 points off three Green Bay turnovers. … After giving up nine sacks in their previous seven games, the Packers surrendered five to Arizona. … Packers TE Jermichael Finley led his team with 159 yards on six receptions. … Cardinals WR Steve Breaston led his team with 125 yards on seven receptions, one for a touchdown. … For Arizona, Larry Fitzgerald and Early Doucet had two touchdown catches each. Fitzgerald now has nine TDs in five playoff games. … Greg Jennings had 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. … The Packers have lost their last four playoff road games (last win was in 1997 NFC title game). … Arizona is 6-0 following a loss this year.

NFC Playoffs: Cardinals (10-6) Packers (11-5); AZ Cardinals 2009 Season Highlights

Packers CB Charles Woodson (left), a league defensive player of the year candidate, "(The first half of the season) I don't think we quite knew who we were as a team. We know who we are now." Meanwhile, Cards QB Kurt Warner says, "We want to be consistent"

…”At the end of the day, it’s going to be a dogfight,” Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett said. “It ain’t going to be no blowout, ain’t going to be none of that craziness. What team plays the best defense is probably going to win this game.”…
