Update: WRAL says yes he will admit paternity…Is John Edwards trying to rehab his image via the Grand Jury?

Update: 8/13: AceHQ has a confirmation tweet up from WRAL TV which indicates Mickey Kaus NAILED IT and this entire Grand Jury appearance was his lead up to a public penance.   I say go away, far away, far, far away.

Just a tweet:

WRAL-TV reports that former presidential candidate John Edwards will admit he is the father of his former mistress’ 18-month-old daughter.

8/11: Lies and the lying liars who tell them. Breck Boy makes me ILL. REALLY ILL. He had NO BUSINESS in our primary when he KNEW Rielle was out there. Frakkin hypocrite with his Two Americas living in his 140k sf house making a living off med mal suits and having a babymomma while allowing TOTUS to use him as a stalking horse to draw primary voters away from Hill. And Elizabeth enabled him period.

Reminds me of an Alice in Chains song…..maaaan in the box….buried in his shxt…..

Money quote from Mickey Kaus:

…overlook the less sensational, but still damning truth–which is that he’d been cheating on his cancer stricken wife after basing his campaign in large part on his faithfulness….

From KausFiles via Instapundit:

…But now there is a credible rumor of a similar PR sleight of hand in the works that would, in theory, allow Edwards to slink away from his (hypothetical) guilt on the issue the paternity tests would have resolved. It would go like this (I’m paraphrasing):

When the grand jury investigating Edwards on campaign finance charges (e.g., did he illegally use campaign money to pay Hunter?) comes back with “not sufficient to press charges,” Edwards will in short order admit it’s his kid. The idea is that the grand jury’s “insufficient evidence” finding will start refurbishing his image, and that this news will overwhelm his admission of paternity (even though he specifically denied paternity was even possible** in his BS-riddled 2008 Nightline “confession”).

It’s just a rumor, remember!

Any former Breck Boy supporters thinking of falling for this line, recall this, just ONE of the numerous hypocritical moments post Primary 2008, (and of course I will never forgive them for ‘endorsing’ Obama when Hill had her nightly interviews scheduled to celebrate her kickaxx wins in KY WVA the night before, frakkers.)..:

**–Exact quote: “I would welcome participating in a paternity test. Be happy to participate in one. I know that it’s not possible that this child could be mine because of the timing of events, so I know it’s not possible. Happy to take a paternity test, and would love to see it happen.” [Emphasis added] Transcript here. 4:50 P.M.

Here is Mr ‘Two Americas’ saying the Trial Lawyers are somehow not a lobbying arm, yeah mkay John go tell that shxt to someone who cares…
