lol. Mediaite has scoopage:

…As you probably know by now, last night at Radio City Music Hall, Conan O’Brien invited his future basic-cable competitors in the 11pm hour to join him onstage for a slightly disorganized if spirited spectacle featuring slick dance moves, a duel, and Jon Stewart wearing some sort of red flamenco get-up and a sparkly gold belt.

…the initial Colbert/Conan skirmish, their faces very very close together, their initial dance-off (cue Def Leppard), Colbert’s untimely fall, and the swashbuckling Stewart dashing in to save the day. “That’s not how the Basic Cable Boys go down — not tonight!” (cue clubby dance music.) Then…Andy Richter with a gun….

YGN: ‘Kick-Ass’ Review: Brutal, Bloody, Brilliant…

By Matt and Nat, follow them at YourGeekNews/BSGcast:

We couldn’t have been more blown away by Kick-Ass. A top-notch story, great performances, incredible humour and a surprisingly meaty film-going experience were disguised as a goofy superhero comedy by Lionsgate’s one-dimensional advertizing campaign. If you haven’t seen Kick-Ass, and you can take some gruesome violence and potty-mouthed humour, you owe yourself a night out at the movies to let Matthew Vaughn and Mark Millar Kick your Ass!

SNL Spoofs Tiger Coverage

Vodpod videos no longer available.

The show began with a bit about Gov. Mark Sanford, Sen. John Ensign and Sen. John Edwards (played by SNL cast members) holding a press conference about the media coverage of Tiger Woods’ infidelity and “indefinite break” from golf. The three politicians, who have all been linked to sex scandals, complain that the media is ignoring their affairs and focusing on Tiger. “The coverage has been excessive, it has been lurid, and it has completely overshadowed coverage of our extramarital affairs,” says the Sanford character.

“Like Tiger Woods, we have broken our marriage vows, but in addition, as elected officials, we have also violated the public’s trust,” says Ensign in the skit. “It’s a pretty big deal. And yet it seems the media couldn’t care less.”

“We pray this isn’t about race,” Sanford says later.
