Sestak Shenanigans: It was Big Dawg, in the library?, with a non paying advisory panel role…

sigh. WSJ has it, hell everyone has it, the Big Dawg is involved.

My understanding of the law is that it is fine to offer someone something for PAST service, (such as Sestak gave HRC by endorsing her in the 08 primaries), but not a quid pro quo for something going forward, but Big Dawg apparently parsed in his very Clintonian way and it was an unpaid advisory panel role Sestak might be offered should he stay in the House.

You know who is probably really pixxed? Blago that’s who.

An interesting factoid as the pundits keep reading the US Code that applies, they cover one that says no sitting official can interfere in a primary etc etc, well go pick up Nancy Pelosi cause she had her sticky hands ALL OVER our Dem primary!

So now Dem pundits are raising Reagan’s guy offering a sitting Senator something etc etc.

Issa R-CA can keep pushing but Big Dawg can parse like nobody’s business and I think they will be wasting their time. Leave the Clintons aloooooooone.

Obama is replaying his primary moves in health care…

He really is. If the rules don’t let you have enough votes (or steal enough in caucuses), change ’em, take some of Hillary’s MI votes to win.

Ignore the people (Dem primary voters, now all of us nationwide).

Slaughter Rule (in the primary we HRC supporters were informed there is no legal right to challenge the way the DNC sets and interprets its own ‘rules’, and Slaughter Pelosi and Obama seem to be confident they can change the rules again and no one will challenge them).

Then act like it is a fait accompli with the media lending both hands,

Then roll out ”endorsements’ like Richardson, Gore, Edwards. This morning it is a big presser with Kucinich. This to push the aura of inevitability.

They are replaying every move. We need to hold the line.

Please KEEP CALLING YOUR CRITTERS. And Fax! Fax like the wind!!

Mike Pence identified these votes as key

The American electorate is big enough to stop them. We are the people.

Harold Ford, Jr: I am gearing up for NY Senate race

Great news!! A DLC Democrat running for the NYS Senate seat! And why shouldn’t he? Because Axelrasputin doesn’t want him to? Frak that noise. the WH should mind it’s own business and concentrate on JOBS. Let NYS handle NYS politics. Calling all the family and friends back in NY and telling them to roll out the welcome mat for Harold….let’s give Chuckie Cheese some one he has to compete with for face time, we know how he loves that, lol….

To quote Scott Brown: IT’S THE PEOPLE’S SEAT.

NYPost:

It’s true: I am strongly considering running for the United States Senate.

I do so because our best as a nation has always come when we test our ideas and ourselves, and when we trust competition to refine the steel of our convictions and the truth of our arguments.

Some have already questioned whether I should be running.

Others are falsifying my record in public life.

New Yorkers deserve a free election.

New Yorkers expect a politics where politicians do what’s right based on independent judgment, free of political bosses trying to dictate.

And New Yorkers want an honest and serious debate about how to grow our economy, create new jobs downstate and upstate and keep New York state and our country safe.

…In my three years here, I’ve learned that New York does not go along to get along. New York does not follow. New York is where the nation learned to lead, build and grow.

In the spirit of the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who once held this Senate seat, I hope we all will welcome a debate about who’s best to work for New York….

Go read the whole thing!!!

Gore Vidal sorry he backed Obama over Hillary, says we will have military dictatorship in US soon…

Another one who made the WRONG decision. At least Gore Vidal is man enough to admit it (UPDATE: Unlike Kathleen SNOB Parker who whines about him after loudly proclaiming him The Bomb in snob speak for over a year. I am still convinced Parker and the OTHER Snob, the lefty SNOB Sally Quinn were separated at birth or something, both utter idiots with an intellectual lisp):

UKTimes:

(…)Last year he famously switched allegiance from Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama during the Democratic nomination process for president. Now, he reveals, he regrets his change of heart. How’s Obama doing? “Dreadfully. I was hopeful. He was the most intelligent person we’ve had in that position for a long time. But he’s inexperienced. He has a total inability to understand military matters. ..”

...Vidal now believes, as he did originally, Clinton would be the better president. “Hillary knows more about the world and what to do with the generals. History has proven when the girls get involved, they’re good at it. Elizabeth I knew Raleigh would be a good man to give a ship to.”The Republicans will win the next election, Vidal believes; though for him there is little difference between the parties.

…We’ll have a military dictatorship fairly soon, on the basis that nobody else can hold everything together….

Since I disagree with every other word Vidal said you can go read the rest if you are so inclined. I do NOT believe Americans are ignorant as Vidal does. I believe we are SICK AND TIRED of intellectuals thinking they know better and telling us how to live our daily lives. Gore Vidal is one of them. Funny how despite all their ‘smarts’ they bet on the wrong horse much to all of our dismay…

Update: WRAL says yes he will admit paternity…Is John Edwards trying to rehab his image via the Grand Jury?

Update: 8/13: AceHQ has a confirmation tweet up from WRAL TV which indicates Mickey Kaus NAILED IT and this entire Grand Jury appearance was his lead up to a public penance.   I say go away, far away, far, far away.

Just a tweet:

WRAL-TV reports that former presidential candidate John Edwards will admit he is the father of his former mistress’ 18-month-old daughter.

8/11: Lies and the lying liars who tell them. Breck Boy makes me ILL. REALLY ILL. He had NO BUSINESS in our primary when he KNEW Rielle was out there. Frakkin hypocrite with his Two Americas living in his 140k sf house making a living off med mal suits and having a babymomma while allowing TOTUS to use him as a stalking horse to draw primary voters away from Hill. And Elizabeth enabled him period.

Reminds me of an Alice in Chains song…..maaaan in the box….buried in his shxt…..

Money quote from Mickey Kaus:

…overlook the less sensational, but still damning truth–which is that he’d been cheating on his cancer stricken wife after basing his campaign in large part on his faithfulness….

From KausFiles via Instapundit:

…But now there is a credible rumor of a similar PR sleight of hand in the works that would, in theory, allow Edwards to slink away from his (hypothetical) guilt on the issue the paternity tests would have resolved. It would go like this (I’m paraphrasing):

When the grand jury investigating Edwards on campaign finance charges (e.g., did he illegally use campaign money to pay Hunter?) comes back with “not sufficient to press charges,” Edwards will in short order admit it’s his kid. The idea is that the grand jury’s “insufficient evidence” finding will start refurbishing his image, and that this news will overwhelm his admission of paternity (even though he specifically denied paternity was even possible** in his BS-riddled 2008 Nightline “confession”).

It’s just a rumor, remember!

Any former Breck Boy supporters thinking of falling for this line, recall this, just ONE of the numerous hypocritical moments post Primary 2008, (and of course I will never forgive them for ‘endorsing’ Obama when Hill had her nightly interviews scheduled to celebrate her kickaxx wins in KY WVA the night before, frakkers.)..:

**–Exact quote: “I would welcome participating in a paternity test. Be happy to participate in one. I know that it’s not possible that this child could be mine because of the timing of events, so I know it’s not possible. Happy to take a paternity test, and would love to see it happen.” [Emphasis added] Transcript here. 4:50 P.M.

Here is Mr ‘Two Americas’ saying the Trial Lawyers are somehow not a lobbying arm, yeah mkay John go tell that shxt to someone who cares…
