Gore Vidal sorry he backed Obama over Hillary, says we will have military dictatorship in US soon…
Another one who made the WRONG decision. At least Gore Vidal is man enough to admit it (UPDATE: Unlike Kathleen SNOB Parker who whines about him after loudly proclaiming him The Bomb in snob speak for over a year. I am still convinced Parker and the OTHER Snob, the lefty SNOB Sally Quinn were separated at birth or something, both utter idiots with an intellectual lisp):

Since I disagree with every other word Vidal said you can go read the rest if you are so inclined. I do NOT believe Americans are ignorant as Vidal does. I believe we are SICK AND TIRED of intellectuals thinking they know better and telling us how to live our daily lives. Gore Vidal is one of them. Funny how despite all their ‘smarts’ they bet on the wrong horse much to all of our dismay…
Update: WRAL says yes he will admit paternity…Is John Edwards trying to rehab his image via the Grand Jury?
Update: 8/13: AceHQ has a confirmation tweet up from WRAL TV which indicates Mickey Kaus NAILED IT and this entire Grand Jury appearance was his lead up to a public penance. I say go away, far away, far, far away.
WRAL-TV reports that former presidential candidate John Edwards will admit he is the father of his former mistress’ 18-month-old daughter.

…But now there is a credible rumor of a similar PR sleight of hand in the works that would, in theory, allow Edwards to slink away from his (hypothetical) guilt on the issue the paternity tests would have resolved. It would go like this (I’m paraphrasing):
When the grand jury investigating Edwards on campaign finance charges (e.g., did he illegally use campaign money to pay Hunter?) comes back with “not sufficient to press charges,” Edwards will in short order admit it’s his kid. The idea is that the grand jury’s “insufficient evidence” finding will start refurbishing his image, and that this news will overwhelm his admission of paternity (even though he specifically denied paternity was even possible** in his BS-riddled 2008 Nightline “confession”).
It’s just a rumor, remember!
