2009 Scream Awards: True Blood, Twilight, ‘Drag Me to Hell’ win; Taylor Lautner interview

EOnline:

Spike TV celebrated all things scary and sci-fi Saturday night at the Scream 2009 Awards, and no surprise here, the T’s owned the show— Twilight, Transformers, True Blood and Trekkies.

..The star-studded Scream 2009 Awards show airs Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. on Spike TV…

The tasty Taylor Lautner was the talk of the night, not only picking up one of the four Twilight trophies, beating out resident heartthrob Robert Pattinson for Breakout Male Performance (don’t worry! R. Pattz and rumored ladylove Kristen Stewart skipped the festivities, but both won Best Fantasy Actors).

..And just because they’re adorable, True Blood real-life lovebirds Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer took home matching Best Horror Actor awards….

Lena or Katee need to take home the statue! Megan Fox cannot act her way out of a wet paper bag although I'm sure she would look great wearing one...

How did Fox even get INTO this category with Lena and Katee? ugh!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

MiM saw it yesterday and gives it two thumbs up :0) From the ever awesome YourGeekNews/BSGcast:

We managed to check out Drag Me To Hell back at SXSW in March, and we LOVED it. Watching Sam Raimi return to the genre that he started in was magnificent, with all the jumps and laughs and wit that you’d expect from a classic Raimi horror film. Since we’ve already seen this one, for a change this episode will bring you a review along with exclusive scenes from the movie and interviews behind-the-scenes of Drag Me To Hell!~Matt + Nat

And more from Sam from itn:

Update: MiM gives it two comedy horror thumbs up!!! Drag Me To Hell Movie Review: Beyond The Trailer

UPDATE: MiM saw the film yesterday. It was a Raimi homage to Evil Dead fans, but not the ultimate Evil Dead flick we hope to get with nmbr 4 (hopefully as soon as he is done with Spidey 4!) But we need to give him time to give us LOtS season 2 also, busy busy is Sam!) It was a good basic horror plotline with good effects and the Raimi horror humour that is uniquely his…Go see it so the studios give us more ORIGINAL horror films and less YARMs…and it gets you jumping without the over the top gorefest of films like Saw 14 and Zombie’s Halloween YARM which IMO suck, when Raimi lets lots of blood fly it is funny gross not disgusting gross, only Raimi gives that vibe…two thumbs up

There are a few moments when the gypsy is being evicted and I yelled call ACORN, could not help it, LOL

Horror: Sam Raimi’s ‘Drag Me to Hell’ to screen at Cannes….other Cannes horror screenings include ultralow budget zombie film by Marc Price, ‘Colin’…

Oh I love this, LOL…we’ve come a long way baby, fer real, Evil Dead was always alone on a back shelf in the video store back in the day…Sam will have a ball! Oh I wanna see Bruce Campbell at Cannes one day, maybe after Sam finishes Spiderman 4 he will give us Evil Dead 4…

Drag Me to Hell

Drag Me to Hell

HorrorBlips@DailyRadar:

Fangoria..This was an interesting read that popped up this evening over at The Hollywood Reporter. In an article entitled CANNES’ RED CARPET IS BLOOD-SOAKED , the trade reports that ” The 62nd Festival de Cannes is turning into a bloodbath. ” They also state that viewers ” are enduring an onslaught of blood and gore from a lineup that has many questioning what point general director Thierry Fremaux and his programmers are trying to make. “…

Notice the SNOBS at the Hollywood Reporter say the Cannes audience had to ‘endure’ Sam’s film, hey DLTDHYWTLSY baby…there are PLENTY of actual FANS to make this film a success on its merits not some faux aristocratic honorific as far removed from the actual audiences as could be…..I hope Sam gets to Swagga down that gore splattered carpet in Cannes with a grin baby..ohh Bruce would ham it up, maybe we can convince Sam to bring him!
