Jon Bon Jovi: Stand By Iranian People

Vodpod videos no longer available.

From the JawaReport, via Momma comment on Ace HA:

On June 24, Iranian Superstar Andy Madadian went into an LA recording studio with Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and American record producers Don Was and John Shanks to record a musical message of worldwide solidarity with the people of Iran. This version of the old Ben E. King classic is not for sale – it was not meant to be on the Billboard charts or even manufactured as a CD…..it’s intended to be downloaded and shared by the Iranian people…to give voice to the sentiment that all people of the world stand together….the handwritten Farsi sign in the video translates to “we are one”. If you know someone in Iran – or someone who knows someone in Iran – please share this link

Gateway Pundit: Interview with Ahmad Batebi on Mousavi and the movement of the people….

Interview with Gateway Pundit

Background on Ahmad Batebi courtesy of erfan342:

Ahmad Batebi is an Iranian student who gained notoriety for his appearance on the cover of The Economist magazine holding up a bloodied shirt belonging to a fellow student who had been beaten by the Basij paramilitaries.

The photo, which has been called “an icon for Iran’s student reform movement,” was taken during the Iranian Student Protests in July 1999 in Tehran.

Following its publishing, Batebi was arrested, tried in closed-door proceedings, found guilty of “creating unrest,” and sentenced to death. This was reduced to 10 years after domestic and international outcry. Less well-known are persistent reports of torture and ill-treatment of Batebi in prison…

The protest in Iran today-20-june-2009 – From TOTUS: The Sound of Silence

Ace HQ has updates as they are coming in…

Still TOTUS is silent. Wouldn’t want to ‘impose’ our belief in universal principles of Democratic right to free speech and peaceful protest by giving any meaningful words of support I guess is their position….

What me worry?

Teh One

Instead TOTUS is busy barbequeing on TV, while people skateboard in the halls of the WH and then was at another press dinner last night saying NOTHING about the most important thing happening in the world while they eat, drink and be merry….I am sure the Iranian people are really inspired by that…
