…BBC AMERICA today announced the U.S. premiere of David Tennant’s final special as the Tenth Doctor. Doctor Who: The End of Time, Part Two, premieres January 2, one week after Part One, on BBC AMERICA. The finale to the era of David Tennant is one of the most eagerly anticipated adventures in the history of Doctor Who.Guest stars include John Simm (Life on Mars) as the Master, Timothy Dalton, Catherine Tate and Bernard Cribbins.
This schedule means that Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars will air on Saturday, December 19th (9PM ET/PT), Doctor Who: The End of Time, Part One will air on December 26th (9PM ET/PT), and Part Two will air on January 2 (8PM ET/PT).
Not much has been released about the finale, except for the announcement of John Simm returning as The Master and Timothy Dalton guest starring. IMDb gives credit to Billie Piper as guest star, as well as John Barrowman, which means we could see Rose and Captain Jack make a return. This episode not only marks the final work of David Tennant on the series, but show runner Russel T Davies will be passing his baton over to writer Stephen Moffat, who will now take the helm. Be sure to keep it here for any and all upcoming news on the finale.

Is Torchwood back?!! Season 4?!
Alert the fans!
Our previous posts on Torchwood here. h/t SciFiWire.
Torchwood might not have concluded its run at the end of the thrilling miniseries Children of Earth after all – Ianto’s tragic death not withstanding. The new year could bring some “very good news” for fans of the sexy sci-fi series, creator Russell T. Davies tells TV Guide Magazine.
“The recession has hit British television, but fingers crossed, it will be a go. We expect things to start to move in January. We’ve got great ideas for the show. I think there’s a further lease on life for many years to come, but certainly for a [fourth season],” Davies says...

Update: Morning Joe; World jumps shark, awards prize to apologetic wonder with no achievements;TOTUS wins the Nobel Peace Prize, seriously, BWAAHAA!! Time for a tune! John Barrowman ‘You’re So Vain’
Update:
Update: Twitter jokes from Snuggleupagaus:
Barack Obama’s Teleprompter: Big Guy says Bill Clinton called and was gracious in defeat; offered to fly Kanye West over 4 the Nobel awards ceremony.
Erick Erickson: Obama is becoming Jimmy Carter faster than Jimmy Carter became Jimmy Carter.
Ana Marie Cox: Apparently Nobel prizes now being awarded to anyone who is not George Bush.
Headline over AP analysis by White House correspondent Jennifer Loven: He Won, But For What?
Kathryn Jean Lopez, National Review: I want to buy the world a coke.
Ezra Klein: Obama also awarded Nobel prize in chemistry. “He’s just got great chemistry,” says Nobel Committee.
Adam Bromberg, CRC: Nobel Prize Committee must be staffed by out of work comedy writers.
Kristina Hernandez, CRC: It was the Beer Summit that put Obama over the edge.
Oh sure, I always think MLK, Gandhi, TOTUS, uhm NOT! This is SURE to help us with his ego problem!

Maybe this is in recognition of his plan to abandon women and children in AFghanistan? No, okay, how about his abandonment of Eastern European allies! Seems the Nobel Prize Committee really likes his whole ‘America sucked before me’ international tour!!

The International Media sees this for the joke it is, courtesy of Dave at Ace:
Some choice observations from the TimesOnline:
The award of this year’s Nobel peace prize to President Obama will be met with widespread incredulity, consternation in many capitals and probably deep embarrassment by the President himself [doubtful – Dave].Rarely has an award had such an obvious political and partisan intent. It was clearly seen by the Norwegian Nobel committee as a way of expressing European gratitude for an end to the Bush Administration, approval for the election of America’s first black president and hope that Washington will honour its promise to re-engage with the world.
Instead, the prize risks looking preposterous in its claims, patronising in its intentions and demeaning in its attempt to build up a man who has barely begun his period in office, let alone achieved any tangible outcome for peace.

Baucus’ Health Care Bill: One is the Loneliest Number…
Mashup by HootyMcBoon
Update: Politico has the backlash to Baucus’ plan from fellow Dem Rockefeller (D-WVA). It was reported that Rockefeller was summoned to the WH at 400pm last night wonder what they said, lol! I suspect they told Rockefeller not to get his panties in atwist that they would be SURE to add an amendment in conference that exempt union plans or otherwise has taxpayers carrying the burden of those high dollar plans…frakkers….
Max Baucus was all alone at that presser announcing his bill yesterday, not one Dem and not one GOP member stood with him..Still unsure why they aren’t going for Wyden Bennett Bill when Baucus gets us halfway there but without the cosponsors…
The WSJ OpEd page DESTROYS Baucus’ plan today…
Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus finally unveiled his health-care plan yesterday to a chorus of bipartisan jeers. The reaction is surprising given that President Obama all but endorsed the outlines of the Baucus plan last week. But the hoots are only going to grow louder as more people read what he’s actually proposing….
