IMO anyone who moves TO msnbc is as big a tool as the rest of that diseased frat boy ‘network’. Shoulda stuck with Fast Money, where actual thinking viewers tuned in to see your rants Dylan. Now you are just one of many ranting, red faced creeps on a channel full of biased toolz…..
Our previous posts on Dylan and the move to MSNBC here
The new year is starting off badly for Dylan Ratigan, whose face time on MSNBC has been cut in half. The cantankerous pundit has gone from having the 9-11 a.m. slot to just one hour at 4 p.m., when ratings are lower.
“He’s pissed but has no other options,” said a source. “He came in and thought he would take over the network. He treated everyone in the office like his assistants.” But an MSNBC spokesman characterized Ratigan’s move as a promotion: “The show is being moved to 4 p.m. because we anticipate it will be a strong lead-in to ‘Hardball.’ “
Update:Rasmussen polled on ACORN and oh boy what results!
Are the public interested, despite the virtual blackout of all coverage on network TV?
Seven-out-of-10 voters (70%) say they are following recent news stories about ACORN at least somewhat closely, with 41% following very closely. Only eight percent (8%) say they aren’t following the news about ACORN at all.
Is the investigation of ACORN a result of ‘racism’, political attacks or ACORN’s illegal activity? Hmmm?
Fifty-seven percent (57%) of all voters also believe that the ongoing criminal investigations of ACORN in several states are primarily the result of illegal behavior on the organization’s part. Twenty percent (20%) say the investigations are politically motivated, and 23% are undecided.
What do people think of ACORN? EVEN Liberals don’t like it!
Only 15% of voters now have even a somewhat favorable opinion of ACORN, while 67% have an unfavorable view of the group. Those figures include only three percent (3%) with a very favorable opinion and 47% with a very unfavorable view.
Eighty-five percent (85%) of Republicans, 73% of voters not affiliated with either major political party, and 44% of Democrats have an unfavorable view of ACORN.
Liberal voters are evenly divided—35% favorable and 38% unfavorable. Eighty-two percent (82%) of conservative voters give ACORN unfavorable marks along with 60% of political moderates.
Should funding be cut off? Oh yeah baby!
Fifty-one percent (51%) of U.S. voters now say Congress should end all federal funding of the controversial community organizing group ACORN.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 17% favor continued taxpayer support of the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now. Thirty-two percent (32%) are not sure
Update: Ed at HotAir has more on the sampling in the Wapo poll:
…Let’s deal with the sample first. The poll includes 35% Democrats, 25% Republicans, and 34% independents. That would make sense — if Obama had won the election by 14 points. He won it by seven, with independents and some Republicans breaking for Obama. Here’s a hint to pollsters: if you’re tracking a bigger gap between Democrats and Republicans than we saw in the presidential election, your sample is almost certainly unrepresentative of the electorate. At least it’s improved for WaPo/ABC, which had it at a ridiculous 13-point gap in June.
The skew explains why Obama still has a 57% approval rating in this poll when Rasmussen and Zogby have him under water and Gallup has him closing in on 50%. Even with the skew, his disapproval numbers have risen sharply, especially on ObamaCare, which is practically all anyone discusses. Half of the survey respondents oppose it, with 40% strongly opposed, compared to 45% approving and only 27% strongly approving. Obama is losing the argument, and the longer it continues, the more his overall numbers will erode with it….
Yowsa! 49% and that is among ALL Americans (not even adults anymore Pfft! imagine how bad likely voters is)
Among all Americans, 49 percent now express confidence that Obama will make the right decisions for the country, down from 60 percent at the 100-day mark in his presidency. Forty-nine percent now say they think he will be able to spearhead significant improvements in the system, down nearly 20 percentage points from before he took office.
As challenges to Obama’s initiatives have mounted over the summer, pessimism in the nation’s direction has risen: (MiM here nice editorializing there by WaPo huh? it is the challenges causing the distortion not the insane spend what you dont have and remake the whole economy-what utter pinhead media bais) Fifty-five percent see things as pretty seriously on the wrong track, up from 48 percent in April.
Yeah but Nancy Pelosi no doubt says he should double down. Michael Steele triple dog dares him...I just say listen to the people if you want to keep a majority….WE DO NOT WANT ANY MORE SPENDING….
