As oil gushes, NOKO sinks ships, Iran ignores us and Euro zone economies collapse, Dems keep spending and Obama approval index hits new lows…

…and that’s a feature, not a bug…everyone can see the EPIC fail..Rasmussen:

…Most Americans have “come to believe that the political system is broken, that most politicians are corrupt, and that neither major political party has the answers,” observes Scott Rasmussen. Just 27% believe Congress knows what it’s doing when it comes to the economy and 41% say that a group of people randomly selected from the phone book would do a better job than the current Congress. In his new book, Scott adds, “Some of us are ready to give up and some of us are ready to scream a little louder. But all of us believe we can do better.”…

…But keep pushing that health care bill SOOPERGENIUSES…word is next they plan to roll out amnesty aka immigration reform during record unemployment..boy these guys really know how to read the electorate eh? BWAAAAHAAA…

Rasmussen:

… 22% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President (see trends).

Forty-two percent (42%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 72% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, 17% Strongly Approve and 45% Strongly Disapprove.

Fifty-seven percent (57%) believe that passage of the proposed health care legislation will hurt the economy. Just 25% believe it will help…

Update: Gallup poll of ‘Americans’ confirms! Majority oppose ObamaCare (again) 52/45, speech bounce evaporated overnight…

Mix by theDJTremble

Update: Gallup, who polls anyone with a pulse, confirms! h/t Ace HQ:

A USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken after the president’s dramatic address to a joint session of Congress last week shows Americans almost evenly divided over passing a health care bill and inclined to think it would make some of the system’s vexing problems worse, not better….

…Six in 10 say Obama’s proposal, if enacted, would not achieve his goals of expanding coverage to nearly all Americans without raising taxes on the middle class or lowering the quality of health care. For the first time, a majority disapprove of the way he’s handling health care policy….

…The survey of 1,030 Americans has a margin of error of +/–4 percentage points….

It does not even say they are polling ADULTS anymore, for all I know they are polling Juniors in HS or the preK class who had to listen to the TOTUS speech last week, lol…

Right on 912 Marchers!! Thank youuuu!!!

BWAAAHAAAAAA!! The bounce is gone! Are you reading this Grassley??!!!

Rasmussen:

(…)the bounce appears to be over. The latest daily tracking shows that support has fallen all the way back to pre-speech levels.Forty-five percent (45%) of all voters nationwide now favor the plan while 52% are opposed. A week ago, 44% supported the proposal and 53% were opposed. (see day-by-day numbers).

The latest figures show that 23% Strongly Favor the plan and 41% are Strongly Opposed. In late August, 23% were strongly in favor of the plan and 43% were strongly opposed. ..

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll is another indicator of the speech’s impact, and there, too, the bounce in approval Obama has been getting since the Wednesday night speech appears to have ended. Job Approval ratings are updated each morning at 9:30 EDT.

Approval ratings also back down:

Still the Same: TOTUS is a Spend and Tax Carter Democrat…

Not your Daddy’s moderate-Big Dawg-grow the pie-pro-business-Era of Big Govt is over-tax-cutting Democrat. This is your grandaddy’s ultraliberal-Carter-redistribute the pie-anti-business-Era of Big Govt has just begun-spend and tax Democrat.

The media lied the economy died.

The American people have read the writing on the wall and it is profane. If you look at virtually any polling TOTUS has lost the support of Indies. The Indies with whom Dems gained goodwill in the Big Dawg years. Pissed away on 70s era failed statist policies….

Rasmussen:

Just six percent (6%) of voters nationwide now expect their own taxes to go down during the Obama years. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 42% expect their taxes to go up while 40% expect little change. Another 12% are not sure.

It gets even more clear that we have seen who Obama is and he is not the moderate Clinton like Democrat the media and the pundits and the ELITIST POLITICAL CLASS sold him as, IOW we got a pig in a poke, (without even lipstick):

Seventy percent (70%) of voters expect government spending to increase during the Obama years. That’s up from 54% when he was elected and 63% since Inauguration Day.

Only six percent (6%) expect the Obama administration to reduce government spending.

Seventy-one percent (71%) say the president’s policies have increased the size of the federal deficit.

Seventy-six percent (76%) believe it is at least somewhat likely that taxes will have to be raised on the middle class to cover the cost of health care reform, even though 54% think middle class tax cuts are more important than new spending on health care.

Other recent survey data shows that 76% now view the president as politically liberal. The number who consider Obama Very Liberal jumped from 28% just before he was elected to 48% today.

Now why would only 28* have viewed him as politically liberal just before he was elected?? We are looking at you journOlists….

We're gonna need a bigger graph.....

TOTUS loses the upper hand…

Team TOTUS has lost ‘hand’ in the polls and is hiding the economic forecast and new deficit numbers from us and Congress until AFTER the August recess…

…Heading into a critical period in the debate over health-care reform, public approval of President Obama’s stewardship on the issue has dropped below the 50 percent threshold for the first time, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll…

…Since April, approval of Obama’s handling of health care has dropped from 57 percent to 49 percent, with disapproval rising from 29 percent to 44 percent. Obama still maintains a large advantage over congressional Republicans in terms of public trust on the issue, even as the GOP has closed the gap…

…Obama’s approval rating on his handling of the deficit is down to 43 percent, as independents now tilt toward disapproval (42 percent approve; 48 percent disapprove). More broadly, 55 percent of Americans put a higher priority on holding the deficit in check than on spending to boost the economy, compared with 40 percent who advocate additional outlays even if it means a sharply greater budget shortfall. This is a big shift from January, when a slim majority preferred to emphasize federal spending…

HotAir has coverage of the ‘hide the deficit’ story and Ace HQ and HA and MM are also all over the poll shift…(we learned in our DEM primaries that most pollsters oversample Dems and undersample Indies and GOP to ‘give good poll’ for TOTUS, but once one pollster is truthful about the trend, usually Rasmussen, the others s-l-o-w-l-y restore regular accurate sampling and come in line with the REALITY. This time things are bad enough that the Obama lovin media is trying to get in front of the vote)

Critters may not know how to read a bill before they sign it but they are damned good at reading polls and their chances for re election..
