Calling All Angels ~ Freedom of Speech must not be a price paid for the Tucson Tragedy

Update: Sarah Palin has released a Facebook video addressing the attack and the reaction to it by the media. As usual, she has articulated what the majority of Americans are feeling (as evidenced by the CBS polling).

I have been waiting and praying and hoping the leadership of the country would not allow this tragedy to devolve into calls for ‘toned down’ free speech. If speech has to be measured by the standards of the MSM in the past few days, it most certainly will not be ‘free’.

The person who committed these crimes, which invoked terror in the community and the country, does not appear to be motivated by anyone or anything other than a severe illness.

If he had proclaimed a motive like those espoused by Charles Manson or the Son of Sam, a Beatles song and a dog being their ‘motives’, it still would not justify the limitation of free speech in this country.

Gabrielle Giffords read the First Amendment on the floor of the House days before the tragedy and the words of the founders will survive any assault, not matter how brutal or senseless.

Because it was senseless, the MSM and politicians, including the Sheriff of Tucson, should feel ashamed of the way they are responding to the attacks.

In the seconds and minutes, hours and days following the attacks, the people of Tucson, and Arizona and America are coming together in acts of heroism, and in prayer.

That is what our leaders should be doing as well.

God Bless the victims, their families and friends, and God Bless the country.

As Speaker Boehner said this morning, we will come through this, we always do and we always will.

Video Update: Sarah Palin – John McCain Rally in Phoenix

Sarah in Searchlight courtesy of FreedomsLighthouse:

Sarah entered to an awesome tune-

John Shadegg R-AZ was there, Jeff Flake R-AZ, Mayors of Chandler and Glendale.

Sarah and Todd looked great, we were right in front of the lecturn with blue and red pompoms and the American flag. We chanted ‘Repeal and replace’ at several points throughout John’s speech…

Sarah was in fine form, fiery and passionate, defending our Constitution, our right to dissent.

Several Obot plants broke into incoherent shouts of koolaid induced madness t at two points. A very large dude who was earlier leading us in cheers helped escort one out a fellow attendee did the escorting not any mccain staff) , the other was rambling some incoherent BS about the ‘truth in the Middle East and about Israel’; he looked like 17, I’d be surprised if he finished high school. We chanted him down with Sa-Rah Sa-Rah, and USA-USA-USA and John Mc-Cain, John Mc-Cain…

same kind of infiltration I saw at the Big Dawg and HRC rallies, same Alinsky playbook., Sarah was very polite handled it beautifully, suggested one of them listen and learn something, and afterward defended our right to protest -peacefully.

She stressed smaller government is better government..

Sarah made a big point of talking about how we do NOT condone any sort of violence and that all our of ‘fighting’ words are about our VOTES!

She stressed that we must NOT let the lamestream media derail or distract us from our message and she said the way they are covering tea party patriots as violent is ‘all bunk’.

She is now on her way to Searchlight, NV for the HUGE tea party patriot rally to boot out Harry Reid!

Pics up very quick promise..

Gallup: Hillary ‘most admired woman’ in America

Yay Hill. PS CIA was called in by State (who does NOT do intelligence BTW) and personally interviewed the terrorists father. Any failure is not State’s ‘fault’. It is an intelligence failure.

Sarah came in as Most Admired Woman too (second)!! two of my fave ladies 🙂 Back to the good news for HRC:

Politico has it, this is the fourth poll in two months that consistently shows Hill’s approval high and rising, she has shed the ‘polarizing’ label Team Obama and the lamestream media attached to her in 07-08. She has done this by working working working. Like she did in the Senate, she is doing it as SoS. I wish to Gawd she were POTUS.

Politico:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman in America, barely edging out former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, according to a Gallup poll out Wednesday.

When Gallup asked 1,025 adults nationwide to name the woman they admire most, 16 percent picked Clinton.

…Clinton has been named most admired woman 14 times by the poll, going back to her time as first lady. Only former First Lady Laura Bush in 2001 and Mother Teresa in 1995 and 1996 have been able to knock Clinton from her perch, though Palin came close….
