Update: Sarah!! Boston Tea Party on the Common…

See full speech here

WCBVtv: Former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin tells Tea Party participants that Tax Day should be a reminder that the government works for the people, not the other way around and that government should ‘get out of the way.’

WTKK’s Michael Graham rallies the Tea Party crowd ahead of Sarah Palin on Wednesday.

Hillary favorables/unfavorables outpoll Obama (and the GOP competition)…

Ahh what could have, what should have been.Whenever you are ready Hillary, millions of us are ready to support you.

Andrew Malcolm LATimes:

a new CNN/Opinion Research Poll has just revealed that even today Americans like that other Democrat more and dislike that other Democrat less than they do the incumbent Democratic president.

That other Democrat is, of course, Hillary Clinton, who fought and scratched her way mightily but unsuccessfully through those bitter, belligerent Democratic primaries and caucuses of 2008. The former first lady and current secretary of State professes no intra-mural interest in challenging her White House boss, as she must as long as she’s an administration team member.

The published CNN article focused on an Obama matchup with Sarah Palin. But within the data were Favorable/Unfavorable ratings for numerous prominent politicians of both parties. Here are the surprising new poll numbers for Clinton:

61% now think favorably of the former senator and only 35% unfavorably, both numbers improved from the 56% and 40% she had during the Democratic National Convention in late August of 2008….

How about Hill’s favorables/unfavorables vs the GOP frontrunners?

Clinton’s numbers also beat all other both Democrats and Republicans in the new poll…

…Among Republican names, Mike Huckabee’s favorable-unfavorable rating is 43-29; Mitt Romney 40-34; Newt Gingrich 38-38 (see his recent speech video here); and Sarah Palin 39-55, up from her other recent numbers. See Palin’s recent speech video right here.

Loyal Ticket readers may remember this item of ours from last December when USA Today and Gallup found the two most admired females in America were Clinton and Palin — and only 1% separated them….

Housing: Team Obama plans to ‘poll’ Americans to see what we want to do with Fannie, Freddie? Where is the leadership?! plus Ben Bernanke testifies before JEC…

Update: Ahh HousingWire says they are taking responses to their poll via the Register first. Team Obama’s answer for everything is a meeting, a poll, a panel, typical faculty lounge stuff, lol

The administration said it will first seek public response via the Federal Register listed at regulations.gov. The administration will then hold a series of public forums on housing finance reform.

Update: HousingWire has the details on the ‘poll’ Team Obama plans to take, what a disgrace! Should have and still should just do HOLC, but then Credit Suisse and UBS might take a loss, Gawd Forbid, but it is fine if taxpayers shoulder it, I call shenanigans….

The Obama Administration today puts the public behind the mic on the reform of the US housing finance system, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. A list of questions published today targets the opinions of mortgage market participants, industry groups, academic experts and consumer and community organizations, according to an e-mailed statement from the US Treasury Department.

Here is the Treasury Press Release:, they do not list where to send your input, lol, but here is their contact info:

7:23: Shaun Donovan (HUD Sectry) says he does NOT believe the stress on housing affordability fueled the crisis and that it was vagueness in the programs that was a problem. Oh boy.

Ed Royce R-CA is disputing this and citing Geithner’s previous testimony that the GSEs used the affordability mandates to buy bad loans…well yeah!

Okay we’re 20 mins in and it’s a smack down, you must watch this hearing!

now Mel Watt D-NC is talking up low income rental housing and the GSE roles in that. This is one of Barney Frank’s pet plans. I have long said they will take these foreclosed homes and convert them to Section 8 after families lose them. Unreal.

7:20 am AZ time: Watch the hearing live now here

ZOMG!! BUY A FRAKKIN CLUE TEAM OBAMA!!!! Lordy, Lordy..I thought these guys were SOOPER GENIUSES who had a plan before he even took office!

Now we have an uncapped FAN FRED FHA debt growing exponentially and they want to take a frakkin poll? Are you frakkin kidding me?!

The hearing with the House Financial Services Cmte has begun and Spencer Baucus R has nailed the issue-

Ranking Member Spencer Bachus gives opening remarks at a Financial Services hearing on the future of housing finance, where the Obama Administration failed to provide a plan for reforming Fannie and Freddie.

If that hearing doesn’t terrify you, see Ben Bernanke live here before the Joint Economic Cmte suddenly acknowledging we have a serious fiscal crisis and need immediate action, funny he didn’t say that before they rammed down the Obamacare bill huh? frakker.

Marco Rubio at The Villages…

On Tuesday, April 13, Marco Rubio appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show at a campaign stop in The Villages. The stop was part of Marco’s “Take A Stand” tour, as he travels the state talking to Floridians about how we must send someone to Washington who will fight the Obama-Reid-Pelosi agenda and offer conservative alternatives.

Chris Wallace claimed Marco didn’t have support in The Villages during that Crist- Rubio televised debate. CLEARLY Wallace does not know what the heck he is talking about. Marco has support in The Villages,  all across FL and nationally, heck I am supporting him from AZ!!

Back in the saddle again: AZ Illegal Immigration enforcement bill passes legislature, to Gov. Brewer for signature…

We covered this legislation when it passed the State Senate here. It has now passed the state House and goes to Brewer to sign.

We have covered the Obama rollback of Sheriff Joe’s 287G enforcement authorities here.

This legislation helps restore and clarify that Sheriff Joe is indeed carrying out the laws of Arizona when he is enforcing illegal immigration violations.

WSJ has it:

Arizona lawmakers on Tuesday passed one of the toughest pieces of immigration-enforcement legislation in the country, which would make it a violation of state law to be in the U.S. without proper documentation.

It would also grant police the power to stop and verify the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being illegal.

…Under the measure, passed Tuesday by Arizona’s lower house, after being passed earlier by the state Senate, foreign nationals are required to carry proof of legal residency….

…The bill is different from an earlier version, giving protections for church and community organizations from criminal prosecution for transporting or harboring illegal immigrants.

In a statement, Tuesday Rep. John Kavanagh (R-Fountain Hills) called the measure “a comprehensive immigration enforcement bill that addresses the concerns of our communities, constituents and colleagues.”

“This updated version gives our local police officers the tools they need to combat illegal immigration, while protecting the civil rights of citizens and legal residents.”…

…The bill in some ways toughens up a situation that the Obama administration had tried to roll back. Under a program known as 287g, some local law enforcement agencies were trained to enforce federal immigration laws by checking suspects’ immigration status.

Mr. Arpaio, the Maricopa county sheriff, had been one of the most aggressive enforcers of 287g. However, the Obama administration in recent months has sought to scale back that program, and had reduced the resources it made available to Mr. Arpaio’s office and others.

Sheriff Joe can get comfy being back in the saddle again enforcing the law…
